About Abludo

About the name and the logo

The word defined, Abludo is Latin for "out of tune". The name itself is perfect in many different ways. From a strictly technical or business perspective it's short, is starts with the letters A and B (which makes it appear at the top of many alphabetical lists). It is neither French nor English and it doesn't mean anything specific to most people, but it somehow sounds familiar and creative. When brainstorming for company names, we thought we should invent a word because of the scarce availability of good dot com domains. We thought this was case with many well known multi national corporations, but we soon discovered that many of these company names are actual Latin words.

The logo itself came about through simple trial and error and will likely change over time. The shape was simply created using paths and has not particular significance.

About the mission

The definition of the word abludo might at first seem negative to some people, but it really isn't. Although some sites you see on the Internet aren't in "harmony" with the companies they represent and the clientele they serve, on the bright side, being out of tune means you are only a slight adjustment away from the sweet sound of success.
